Workshop Announcement

The 15th annual Workshop on Talent Management will be held in Athens (Greece) on April 12 and 13, 2027, co-organised y the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and the European Academy of Management (EURAM).


Following the fourteen highly successful Workshops held in Brussels (2012, 2013), Berlin (2014), Valencia (2015), Copenhagen (2016), Barcelona (2017), Helsinki (2018), Toulouse (2019), virtual/online sessions (2020–2021), Cork (2022), Lyon (2023), Luxembourg (2024), and Eindhoven (2025), the 2027 Workshop continues to provide a forum for academic exchange of conceptual and empirical (qualitative or quantitative) research in the area of talent management. The workshop has a strong developmental focus and, as such, encourages research which may be in progress as well as completed research.

There is no requirement to submit and present a paper; some attendees come just to listen, learn, comment, and participate in the discussions.

Call for Papers

We invite papers from a wide range of disciplinary traditions that explore talent management issues from both theoretical and practical perspectives, and we encourage papers which are multi-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary in nature.

We welcome empirical papers from both qualitative and quantitative traditions. We would particularly welcome papers from regions and countries which have to date been underrepresented in debates on talent management.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:

    • Theoretical models of talent management
    • Macro-perspectives on talent management
    • The effect of AI on talent management
    • The effect of environmental disruptions on talent management
    • Global talent management and the role of the corporate HR function
    • Demographic trends and talent management

Submission

To present a paper at the workshop, authors should submit a (up to) 3-page abstract by 31 January 2027.

All submissions must be made in English and only through the official submission platform below. Proposals sent by any other means cannot be accepted.

Participants in the 2027 Talent Management Workshop must be EURAM members in good standing. If your application is accepted and you are not yet a EURAM member for the year 2027, you will be able to do so on the registration platform. Host: Athens University of Economics and Business

The 15th EURAM Talent Management Workshop will be hosted by the Department of Management Science & Technology (DMST) of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), the premier Economics and Business University in Greece and the third oldest University in the country.

Founded in May 1999, DMST has consistently ranked as the leading department in the fields of "Science and Technology" and "Economics and Informatics." It is unique in Greece for its interdisciplinary approach, combining management science with computer and communication technologies, as well as organisational studies.
