Action Research Community Workshop

EURAM’s Action Research Community is pleased to announce a two-day
workshop dedicated to Action Research in management sciences, to be held at
Naples Parthenope University on 18-19 February 2027.
EURAM Dialogue with Practitioners and Doctoral Colloquium programs
organize the event, and the EURAM Action Research community operates it. The
DISAQ/ VIMASS research group at Naples Parthenope University is the local
organizer (represented by Prof. Francesco Schiavone).
The workshop aims to strengthen the dialogue between academic research
and management practice, in line with our community's mission: to create an
inclusive space where researchers and practitioners can exchange ideas, develop
joint projects, and promote impactful research that bridges academia and
practice. This workshop will discuss methodological issues related to action
research. In particular, the workshop will focus on two important goals: (1)
how to design research protocols to ensure smooth interaction between
researchers, practitioners, and companies; (2) how to best interact with
companies and design research protocols to prepare for academic publications in
quality journals. Editors (or associate editors) active in journals that
welcome action research submissions will be present during the workshop.
The workshop is designed for both:- Early
career scholars and doctoral students, who will have the opportunity to engage in mentoring and gain
hands-on guidance on designing and conducting Action Research projects;
- Experienced
researchers, who will
find a space to exchange advanced insights, discuss methodological
challenges, and strengthen collaborative ties within the Action Research
community.

Deadline for submissions (extended abstracts): December 14th, 2026, 14h00
(Brussels time).
Acceptance decisions: sent
to the authors by December 21st, 2026.
