EURAM is a non-profit, member-based organisation dedicated to the advancement of engaged scholarship and reflective management practice. The Academy operates through a democratic governance structure that ensures member representation and effective decision-making across its diverse international community.
General Assembly
The Assembly holds all powers to allow the realisation of EURAM's objectives as specified in its Statutes. The Assembly meets at the Annual Conference. The General Assembly represents the highest authority within EURAM and serves as the sovereign decision-making body of the organisation. All EURAM members are entitled to participate in the General Assembly, where they can engage in key decisions, including the approval of accounts and budgets, changes to statutes, and the election of leadership positions.
As a EURAM member, you will be able to (self)-nominate and vote for the President-Elect every two years and also for a national representative on EURAM's Board from your country of residence. The Assembly typically convenes during the annual conference, providing a forum for members to actively participate in the Academy's governance and strategic direction.
Board
The Academy is governed by its Board which holds the powers of administration except those vested in the General Assembly. The Board may confer specifically-designed powers to designated representatives and/or committees (ad hoc or otherwise), including even those tasks that the present Statutes specifically attribute to the Board.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is responsible for the daily management of the Academy and reports to the Board. The Executive Committee can delegate certain management responsibilities to its members, especially the Executive Officer. It reports to the Board on the Academy's financial status, and the management of the annual conference. The Executive Committee coordinates the Academy's activities in specific areas which include, without being limited to, newsletters and publications, research and education, external relations and the development of the Association's early career and doctoral members.
The Executive Committee is chaired by the President who is elected by the Academy's members through an electronic ballot and majority vote. The term of appointment of the President is 3 years, with the option for re-election for one further term. The day-to-day management of EURAM and the development of policies and strategies are delegated to the EURAM Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee may also co-opt officers nominated by the board for specific mandates. The Executive Committee typically meets 4-5 times per year.

Country Representatives Council
The Country Representatives Council was formed in June 2021. The Council is composed of elected Country Representatives from all countries where there are 10 members. Country Representatives play an important role in promoting EURAM in their respective countries and in liaising with National Management Associations. The Country Representatives are normally elected for a three-year term, with a possibility of re-election for a second three-year term.
This council ensures that EURAM maintains strong connections with its members across different countries and facilitates collaboration with national management associations, strengthening the Academy's European and international presence.

Strategic Interest Groups (SIGs) Governance
SIGs have their own governance structure, and are run by chairs together with program chairs and other officers whenever necessary. Launched in 2009, SIGs are run by members and organise workshops, seminars, conferences throughout the year. The SIGs also organise dedicated tracks at the annual EURAM conferences.
The SIGs operate with considerable autonomy within the broader EURAM structure, allowing specialised research communities to self-govern while contributing to the Academy's overall mission. As EURAM member, you are entitled to belong to two Strategic Interest Groups (SIGs).
Democratic Participation
EURAM's governance structure emphasises democratic participation and member engagement. As a EURAM member, you will be able to (self)-nominate and vote for the President-Elect every two years and also for national representative on EURAM's Board from your country of residence. You are entitled to participate in the General Assembly of EURAM, typically as part of the conference, and its decision-making (approval of the accounts and budget, and changes of statutes).
