| Professor Almina Bešić
Almina
Bešić is an Assistant Professor at the Johannes Kepler University Linz,
combining her academic role with positions as an independent consultant
for the European Migration Network and visiting lecturer at the
University of Graz. She holds a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences
from the University of Graz, where her research focused on human
resource strategies and highly skilled migrants in multinational companies. Her
research examines migration and employment issues, with particular
attention to workplace integration of migrants and refugees, European
migration policy, and diversity in international HRM. Her work appears
in journals such as Journal of International Management, European
Management Review, and Comparative Migration Studies. Almina has
conducted research and worked across several European countries,
including Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, and the United
Kingdom. As a mentor, Almina brings deep expertise in navigating international career paths, offering unique insights at the intersection of migration, human resources, and professional development in European contexts. |
| Professor Peter McKiernan Peter McKiernan is Professor of Management in the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship at Strathclyde Business School. Also, he is a distinguished professor of management at the Brussels Institute of Governance, VUB, and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Notre Dame, Australia. He is in high demand as a keynote speaker at international conferences and events. Peter’s main research and practice is on how countries, institutions and organisations learn about how their future might unfold and how they might prepare their current policies/strategies to be more resilient and creative. In strategic foresight and strategy, Peter has led projects with countries e.g., Scotland, Singapore; regions e.g., Fife, Grampian, Stirlingshire; cities e.g., Edinburgh, Glasgow; island economies e.g., Shetlands, States of Jersey; and blue-chip organisations around the world e.g., IBM, BP, Philips, Jardine Matheson, Reed-Elsevier, Siemens-GPT, Marks and Spencer. Recently, he led major strategy projects for the Glasgow City Region, the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland, and the Advanced Nuclear Research Centre in Scotland. Peter continues to work internationally and throughout the Middle East. He was the University of Strathclyde’s ‘Executive Academic Leader‘ at the Dubai campus in its formative years. Additionally, he has held many Board positions in the UK private and public sectors e.g., the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS), and chaired those of major public bodies at the request of the Secretary of State e.g., West Lothian FE College. He has authored, edited, or co-authored 10 books, including the bestseller “Sharpbenders” on organisational turnaround, and he has won prizes for his research on organisational leadership, organisational sense-giving, growth strategies in SMEs and top management teams. He has published in the leading academic journals in both Europe and in the USA. The British Academy of Management (BAM) has honoured him with their lifetime achievement award and their top medal for outstanding leadership – the Cooper medal. CEEMAN have honoured him with their Institutional Champion of the Year award. He has been Chairman and President of the BAM, and Vice-President and President of the European Academy of Management (EURAM), where he was a co-founder of i) the Academy; ii) its house journal - the European Management Review; and iii) its Research Leadership programme with the EFMD, which he led for a decade. He is the immediate past Dean of the Fellows College of BAM and the current Dean of the Fellows College of EURAM. He holds Fellowships of BAM and EURAM and of six other academic and professional bodies (CABS, FBAM, FEURAM, FAcSS, FGIA, FGC, FCMI, FRSA, FRRBM). As a Full Professor at EHL Hospitality Business School Campus Lausanne,
Academic Director of the Graduate School and President of the Swiss Society
for Business Management (SGB), he brings over 30 years of expertise in
strategy research and consulting.
Stefan's extensive journey includes professorships and research fellowships at
renowned institutions like WU Vienna, University of Liechtenstein,
Harvard University, MIT, and the National University of
Singapore. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Swiss Journal of Business
(Die Unternehmung), and member of the Editorial Board of EURAM Sparks,

| Professor Leonardo Corbo Leonardo Corbo is Associate Professor of Management at the University of Bologna, focusing on strategy and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining the University of Bologna he was Assistant Professor of Management at Católica Porto Business School and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at LUISS University. He has been a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University, Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern U.) and Sauder School of Business (U. of British Columbia). His main research interests include alliances and networks, business model innovation and start-ups. His work has been published in several international outlets, including Journal of Business Research, Organization Studies, Research Policy and Technovation. Leonardo seats in the Editorial Board of Long Range Planning and regularly serves as reviewer for several ABS 4*/4/3 journals. Besides academia, Leonardo worked in the marketing department at FIAT’s headquarters and in consulting at VVA. |
| Professor Mine Karatas-Ozkan Mine Karatas-Ozkan is a Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Southampton Business School, University of Southampton (UK), and Vice President Talent Development for the European Academy of Management. She has been a dedicated EURAM’er since 2004 as a doctoral student, taking on several tasks leading to her current responsibility as VP. Previously, she held various leadership including Associate Dean Research; Director of the Faculty Graduate School and Founding Director of the Centre for Inclusive and Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Southampton. Her work is in the areas of social sustainability, diversity, equality and inclusion in the context of leadership and entrepreneurship. She has led and carried out many collaborative projects funded by national/international organisations engaging with academic and non-academic stakeholders such as social entrepreneurs, women leaders and entrepreneurs, refugee entrepreneurs, representatives of intermediary organisations and policy makers. Her passion to contribute to, and curiosity to learn more about, women’s leadership and how we can support such women with disadvantaged backgrounds have led her to complete a Yale School of Management executive education on women’s leadership. She supervises and mentors a cohort of doctoral candidates and early career researchers pursuing programmes of research on domains such as social and sustainable entrepreneurship, diversity, equality and inclusion, gender and entrepreneurship, refugee entrepreneurship, women and leadership for sustainability, and strategy and institutional change in higher education. |
| Professor Miguel Pérez-Valls Miguel Pérez-Valls is a
Professor at the University of Alméria School of Business and Economics,
where he not only earned his PhD but also imparts his wealth of
knowledge to eager minds. With a diverse academic background, Prof.
Pérez-Valls has also served as a Visiting Professor at the Cardiff
University and the University of Surrey. Professor Pérez-Valls is a prolific researcher with a robust publication record in esteemed journals
such as Business and Society, Business Strategy and the Environment,
Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Journal of Business Ethics,
Technovation, and European Management Journal. Beyond academia, he has
