We are not a Special Interest Group but a temporary Group welcoming in 2016 tracks, symposia, development working groups or papers that did not find a home in one of our 13 SIGs or in one of our various tracks but that are nonetheless presenting a strong interest for the future of management research. Those tracks, symposia, development working groups or papers may well be the seeds of new developments for our inclusive Euram community. We propose in this “SIG” several emerging tracks, and one general track where you can submit papers that do not fit in proposed tracks.

GT 14_00 Conference General Track
The General Conference Track welcomes papers focused (but not exclusively) on the conference theme: Manageable cooperation? It wishes to investigate diverse approaches to cooperation: its aims and results, conditions, limits and drawbacks, the transitional steps toward more cooperative environments, organisations and behaviours. We encourage both empirical and conceptual contributions.
T 14_01 Next Management Theory
Next Management Theory track invites contributions to the fields of management and organization theory. We are welcoming papers that address the general significance of theorizing or reappraise classical key concepts and their adequacy to the post-millennium context. We are also keen to discuss systematic investigations of interfaces and interdependencies of management and organization theory and social theory. Ambitious contributions will explore possible futures of theorizing on management and organization. Furthermore, contributions addressing organizational change and collaboration as translation processes are invited. Selected papers have been invited for submission to partnering journals.
T 14_02 Cooperation in the field of careers?
The field of careers has developed through the opposition of agency and structure. This opposition has inhibited the research about cooperation in the field of careers. Even if networks (alumni, ethnic solidarities) or organizational and societal cooperation arrangements have never been ignored, the exploration of cooperation at the intermediate level (between individuals and organizations) is relatively new. Research about career communities, peer coaching, career resources development of informal groups… has increased in the last decade. Social networks and collaborative economy provide a lot of opportunities to better understand the forms and conditions of cooperation in the field of career. The Track is an opportunity to make a theoretical and empirical review on the conditions for cooperation in the field of careers. We welcome contributions at all levels: individual, professional communities, intra or inter-organizational, sectorial, regional, national or transnational, amongst others.
T 14_03 Emergency Management and Organisational Resilience: Bridging the Theory-Practice Gap
Management research in emergency services is an evolving phenomenon with an acknowledged theory and practice divide. The research community is quite fragmented with pockets of activities being conducted in specific areas of crisis and emergency management such as emergency management, incident management and organizational resilience. Similarly developing organisational resilience to deal with a situation of risk, crisis and emergency preparedness and response will need a diverse range of capabilities from individuals and organizations. This track, now in the fourth year at the EURAM Conference, will provide an inter-disciplinary platform to debate and discuss the issues which are relevant to the emergency management communities.
